Overview
The Department of Pharmaceutics was established in 2010 and the Master in Pharmaceutics was started in 2012-13. The study of Pharmaceutics is an essential and important part of pharmaceutical and healthcare education. The department is having well-equipped labs for both U.G. and P.G. teaching & research including Skill Lab. Department has a well-furnished seminar room with a projector facility & library for U.G. and P.G. students. In addition, the department is imparting teaching through Problem and Computer Based Learning in Pharmaceutics. The institution has vibrant staff that is known for discipline and dedication to prepare the young talents to be in right place to face expanding and enlarging pharmacy segment. Faculty is committed to the provision of quality teaching and of high academic standards.
The programme is advantageous to students since it offers a chance for in depth research into the medical industry, particularly drugs. It gives the pupils the knowledge and abilities to investigate and create novel medications.
- It is a discipline that ensures that pharmaceuticals are distributed safely and effectively.
- It focuses on how formulations are made and used.
- The students will get the chance to develop and manufacture medications using technology.
- For individuals who desire to concentrate on the subject of healthcare, this programme is ideal.
Objectives:
- Create a program of study leading to a master’s degree in pharmaceutics that combines professional knowledge and technical skills in the creation and assessment of various pharmaceutical dosage forms with the ability to conduct research and work in the fields of drug delivery science and technology.
- Provide master’s students with the information and expertise they need to provide pharmaceutical companies with services that include designing, formulating, testing, and manufacturing appropriate drug products.
- Foster and encourage a propensity for entrepreneurship and higher education.
- Helping the pharmaceutical industry, academia, society, regulatory agencies, and the profession by empowering and sensitizing pharmaceutics professionals.
Goal
- Our goal is to generate new knowledge and tools that can lead to develop better dosage forms for treatments of devastating human medical problems.
- Promote the efficacy and safety of therapeutics through inclusive teaching and transformative research in the drug delivery and disposition sciences.
